A little taste of home


Tonight we were feeling like we needed a taste of home. Tacos, burritos, tortillas, and spanish rice are hard to find here. Ok...they don't exist. So naturally, we decided to make it happen. I (Kevin), made tortillas. Jenn handled the taco meat and the spanish rice. Here you can see the picture proof. (Nana, you would be proud)

Here is the finished product. I think this is one of the meals that we have felt best about cooking here. It's kind of like learning to cook all over again. You learn what works, and what doesn't work. Now we know, tortillas work.

going back and rereading the posts, i remember now why i had such a strong impression that kevin was the tortilla man--that 1000 word picture of him rolling them out. ah, the wonderful things you can do with a camera....
